Vision
To be the leading Asian symposium that aligns synergistic relationships and developments in the fields of Business, Engineering and Technology (BET).
Mission
To create a sustainable, dynamic and impactful ecosystem, which brings academics, practitioners, policymakers to address BET opportunities and challenges to create socio-economic value for Asia and beyond. The overarching aim being, within the ASEAN Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the United Nations Strategic Development Goals (UNSDG contexts), to address:
- Global Challenges (Water and Sanitation, Health and Well-being, Climate action)
- Sustainable Engineering and Innovation for Productivity
- Balancing the Norms of Society, Government, and Industry Challenges
The primary goals, for partners and stakeholders, of the symposium are to develop and promote:
- BET research and developmental activities
- Collaboration and scientific enquiry
- Policy informing knowledge and resources that promote agile responsiveness
The founding partners, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Institut Pertanian Bogor Indonesia and The University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, are committed to cross-disciplinary research of new and disruptive technologies across the BET and beyond that engages with practice and policy, to identify and address opportunities and challenges within the ASEAN region and beyond.

On behalf of Satbayev University, it is my great honor to welcome you to Almaty and to our campus for this important international gathering.
We are proud to serve as co-chair and host of ABEATS-2025, a platform that brings together leading scholars, researchers, and industry representatives to share knowledge, exchange experience, and shape the future of education, science, and technology.
Satbayev University, as Kazakhstan’s leading technical institution, has always placed international cooperation and innovation at the heart of its mission.
By bringing ABEATS to our university, we strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, while fostering collaboration across borders for sustainable growth and technological advancement.

Central Asia is a region of immense potential and a crucial hub for the exchange of knowledge, fostering new perspectives and collaborative opportunities that are more vital than ever.
Under the timely and critical theme of Digital Technologies and AI for Environmental and Social Sustainability, ABEATS 2025 promises a rich programme of discussions, presentations, and networking events. We will delve into how cutting-edge digital tools and artificial intelligence can be harnessed to address pressing environmental and social sustainability challenges, creating a more equitable and resilient world.
